The State Police Force's higher-ranking officials are known as Deputy Superintendents of Police. They have the same authority as the Assistant Chief of Police (ACP). A DSP, also known as a Sub-divisional Police Officer or SPDO, is the officer in command of a subdivision in West Bengal.
